Recently, the choral and instrumental jazz ensembles from McCulloch Junior High took home gold ratings along with several soloist awards from ISSMA’s annual district jazz competition.
Jazz band
This ensemble competed on March 7 at Kokomo High School and earned a Gold rating. In addition, three students also earned Outstanding Solo recognition:
- Carter Beck, eighth grade
- Cecilia Hancock, seventh grade
- Autumn Spradley, eighth grade
Jazz choir
This ensemble competed on March 8th at Western High School and earned a Gold rating. In addition, two students also earned Outstanding Solo recognition:
- Cecilia Hancock, seventh grade
- Skai Terry, eighth grade
