MJH honors band earns top rating at annual ISSMA competition; choir brings home two awards

In March, McCulloch Junior High School’s band and choir students traveled to Elwood to compete in the annual ISSMA organizational contest, and brought home impressive awards!

The Honors Band earned the highest rating, Gold with Distinction, competing in Group III.

The 7th and 8th grade concert choir, also competing in Group III, earned a Gold rating.

And the Honors Choir took on an extra challenge this year: competing in the most difficult division (Group I), usually only done by high school groups. They earned a Silver rating.

Congratulations to these talented, hard-working students and their teachers!
